Foghat Biografie
Die britische Hard-Rock-Band Foghat wurde 1971 von „Lonesome“ Dave Peverett, Rod Price, Tony Stevens und Roger Earl in London gegründet. Peverett, Earl und Stevens hatten bereits zusammen bei der Bluesrock-Band Savoy Brown gespielt, nun vereinten sie gemeinsam mit Price die Musikgenres Boogie, Blues und Hard Rock in einer Band. Nachdem Namen wie Brandywine, Track und Hootch abgelehnt worden waren, einigte man sich schließlich auf Foghat. Der Name (deutsch: Nebelhut) leitet sich von einem Fantasiewort her, das bei einem Scrabble-Spiel entstand.
