Oh won't you search with me all through the night, I been digging through junk piles, most of my life. I never found nothing but something to do, but I'm doing alright now digging with you. I said "nice to meet you", when I looked in her eyes. She was probably 40 but she looked more like 65. A mother, and a daughter with some stories to tell,
20 years searching refuse for some used things she could sell. She spoke of the son, she left him with her sister when he was only 9. But she still sends him letters, letters, letters from time to time. "And he never writes back?" "No he never writes back." I say "I'm sure he's fine." You say you hope he plays football. I ate your amphetamines, and everybody danced. By a fire we're building in a totem of trash stack an old fan on a play-set, add a Halloween mask.
